Today’s WSJ article on cheer safety

September 17th, 2009 by Marisa Walker – Comments (0)

Today, the Wall Street Journal published an article about cheerleading safety. (Click here to read it.)

The article did a slightly better job of shedding light on this year’s sports injury report, but it still missed the boat on a few points. American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Administrators (AACCA) Executive Director Jim Lord breaks it down for us here.

About Marisa Walker
Growing up in Centerville, OH, cheerleading was my whole world—and with this job, it still is! My job is so cool: It’s like being the captain of a super talented squad, all working their tails off to make something great happen. And to top it all off, I have the best readers in the world to learn from along the way: you guys!
