Wow, this week has been so crazy! Where should I start?

Last weekend I went to my boyfriend’s house and had so much fun! He took me out to this really cool Italian restaurant; it was like a dream inside. They even had a cute little stream with toy gondolas in it. The next day we went to his Lacrosse practice and while he was running around I explored this really awesome hiking trail.

The coolest part was when I reached the top there was a little patch of grass for me to lie down and just relax on. I laid there for about a half hour just soaking up the beautiful sun…then I thought about how cool it would be to do some tucks on the top of the hill. Hahaha. I know, kind of lame, but hey, I am a cheerleader.

I threw a tuck and touched down because I wasn’t used to standing on top of a hill without anything to spot. I kept trying and finally I was nailing them! It was so much easier for me to do them when I picked a cloud to spot.

When I was tired of tucking, I ran down the hill and back to the field where my boyfriend was practicing. He doesn’t know this, but I was pretty bored just sitting there watching—it’s just not that much fun to watch a bunch of boys practice, yell and grunt!

So I started doing some running tumbling—you know, to amuse myself—and the next thing I know it was silent. Everyone was staring at me! I was like, “Woops!” It was so embarrassing, but then they were like “Oh my gosh! That was sick! Do it again!” It made me feel so cool and I could tell my boyfriend was so proud.

When Monday rolled around, I was slammed with homework and studying for the three midterms I have this week. Ughhhh! I wish it were still summer! That night I went to a sorority meeting and we had an ice cream social with another frat at our school. It was OK—the boys were a little weird and kept doing cheers saying how they were the best, blah, blah, blah. Why do frat guys think they’re so cool?!

Afterward, my friends and I went to Yogurtland and hung out. Yogurtland is the best yogurt ever! You get to pour the ice cream yourself and even put the toppings on, too.

On Tuesday I woke up and rode my bike to school…and had a very strange day. My first class was canceled and my teacher showed up late to my second class and then said we could talk for the rest of class!? I was like, “We pay so much money to go to school here and that’s what we get?”

So, school stunk, but my day got better when a huge group of my friends and I went to Taco Tuesday. It was so much fun! We had a huge table and everyone was going crazy with the one-dollar taco special. Yummy!

Later, when I got to practice we ran and did a bunch of stair climbs. My coach was not in a good mood. We started to tumble and he was so frustrated with some of my teammates that he told us if we didn’t “stand and stick” every time, then we’d have to do five bleachers! Thank goodness I only touched once.

After that, we learned a really cool routine that we’re going to perform for our Homecoming rally. It starts off with Baskets and then we all move into a formation as we’re doing back tucks! We do some partner stunts and then a really cute dance. I can’t wait to show everyone at our school that we can do more than just cheer at games. No one knows how good we really are and this is our chance to prove ourselves. I can’t wait!

Xoxo,

you seem like you have such fun! Even with cheer practice and everything. I live in Australia and go to a school where everyone thinks cheerleading is stupid. Our squad has won state twice in a row, the two times we’ve actually gone! and we have worked so hard yet everyone thinks we suck. We have improved so much but we don’t have a chance to show the school what we got. Plus our head sports teacher hates cheerleading so we never get enough time to practice. Its bloody anoying telling my friends that cheerleading isn’t just short skirts and yelling. I know its so much more! So whatever the curcumstances believe in yourself and do whatever it is that makes you happy and not anyone else!!! ILY! xoxo Aussie I.C.E Cheerleader

Brrr! It's cold out there! It's also very dry in the air, and dryness can suck up moisture, leaving your skin flaky, itchy and tight. Don't worry, though--- Atopalm's Moisturizing Body Lotion is the perfect remedy for a cold, dry winter blast!
