Fall into autumn!

October 7th, 2009 by Jessica Pribush – Comments (0)

Pumpkin pie is a delicious autumn treat!

Pumpkin pie is a tasty autumn treat!

I must admit that I count down to September 21st all summer long. There’s something about the autumn season that I just can’t get enough of. The sound of leaves crunching as I walk, the taste of pumpkin flavored treats, the cool breeze that makes me throw on a cuddly sweater. The whole essence of fall is what I wait for all year. Even something as simple as switching out my flip-flops for my soft and cuddly UGGs brings a smile to my face!

As the weather gets cooler and the leaves start to change into shades of red, gold, and brown, it begins to excite my inner child. There are so many fun things to do during the autumn season! There are outdoor activities such as hayrides, apple picking and corn mazes. There are indoor activities like carving Jack-O-Lanterns and baking pumpkin pie (with whipped cream of course!) There are even spooky things like haunted houses and graveyard tours. Whatever your mood, there’s something autumn–related that can spark your interest!

Be creative and score more candy this year.

Be creative and score more candy.

As if autumn doesn’t have enough great activities for you to do, it even contains one of my favorite holidays, Halloween. When else is it acceptable to knock on your neighbor’s door and expect them to give you delicious candy for free? On October 31st, you can transform yourself into whomever, or whatever you wish. It’s the one day where creativity rules and no one judges you negatively for what you’re wearing. This year embrace it, and try something new! Halloween is all about having fun, so don’t worry about what other people are dressing-up as and use your imagination. Throw on a wig, paint your face, wear a creepy mask, become whatever you wish. Your creative efforts might even land you with more candy than you’ve ever dreamed! For cool costume ideas, check out this feature.

Cheers, Jessica<3
