April Fools Day (1986)

directed by Fred Walton; starring Deborah Foreman & Amy Steel; Rated R

*This movie may not be suitable for kids under the age of 17

April-Fools-day-movie-posterIf Friday the 13th is my favorite holiday, April Fool’s Day is a close second. I love the idea of pulling minor pranks on people….but sometimes pranks can get out of hand. When Muffy St. John invites her friends over to her recently acquired mansion on a deserted island, the group is looking for a little fun and debauchery. But Muffy’s acting weird and people are starting to go missing. When the guests start finding the bodies of their friends, they discover that it may not be a prank after all. (You may have never heard of this movie before, but in my opinion, it’s one of the best ones ever. Perfect for a cheer slumber party!)

WHY IT’S SCARY: You’re all alone on an island, with only one way to get back to civilization. When you’re being hunted by a psycho killer/stalker, it’s hard to keep the fun of the holiday in mind.

SCARIEST SCENE: When one of the girls falls into the well and can’t get out. Being stuck in there and not knowing what else is down there with you? Now, that’s scary!

SCARY STORY: One April Fool’s Day when I was a teenager, I was at home in the afternoon and the news came on telling about how the Space Needle (in Seattle, WA) had collapsed. The report showed people running around frantic and talking about how it wobbled before it fell and how scared they were. A half hour later, the news station confessed it had all been an April Fool’s Day prank and the Space Needle was still intact. Not so funny, people…..

Brrr! It's cold out there! It's also very dry in the air, and dryness can suck up moisture, leaving your skin flaky, itchy and tight. Don't worry, though--- Atopalm's Moisturizing Body Lotion is the perfect remedy for a cold, dry winter blast!
