25 Things to be Thankful For…

November 2nd, 2009 by Jessica Pribush – Comments (7)

1. Your family knows all your flaws and still loves you anyway.

2. Friends are there to accompany your laughter during the good times, and be a shoulder to cry on during the bad.

3. Listening to music is a quick getaway that can get you through a rough day, so grab your headphones and rock out!

4. The internet contains unlimited possibilities. You can find out the answer to any of your questions or get in touch with long lost friends.

5. Holidays are scattered, special days that bring a little fun to the calendar year and mean family, and friend time!

6. Nature is everywhere, and the best part is it’s free! Look outside and take in a gorgeous sunset or try to find shapes in a cloudy blue sky.

7. Give thanks to the pioneers of cheer for giving you the sport you love, because without cheerleading, life would be a lot less exciting.

8. Whether you’re reading a fairytale and dreaming of your prince charming or trying to solve a crime in a mystery novel, books spark imagination and make for a great escape.

9. Warming-up on a cold day can be delicious with a sweet treat like hot chocolate.

10. Laughter is contagious. Indulge in a comedy and spread the joy.

11. Even if you think school’s a drag, it develops your mind. Be open-minded and eager to learn, because education brings forth opportunity.

12. Fashion is a way to show your creativity and personal style. You can switch it up from day to day and create new looks whenever you need a little change.

13. Imagine how fun class would be if you randomly broke into song and dance? Musicals show us how the world would be if everyone was an entertainer.

14. Hugs can turn a sad day around. Give one to a friend when they’re upset, to share the love.

15. With classes starting at 8 am and early cheer practice on weekends, it’s hard to get in a full-night’s rest. Be thankful for the mornings where your only commitment is sleeping in.

16. As U.S. citizens, we should all be thankful for our freedom.

17. Cookies and milk can transport anyone back to their childhood.

18. The Beatles said it best: “All you need is love.”

19. Though it can be scary, change is good. Shake up your life with something new. Get some bangs, or for less commitment, switch up the background of your cell.

20. Weekends give you something to look forward to all week.

21. The silliness of cartoons maintain their appeal, even as you get older. It’s a nice distraction from being a responsible, mature, young adult.

22. No matter your destination—even if it’s just your morning commute—traveling never fails at providing original experiences.

23. Downtime is necessary for staying healthy.

24. Memories are irreplaceable moments from your past that you can revisit whenever you wish. How amazing is that?

25. While it’s nice to remember the past, you should be extremely thankful for the future. Who knows where you could end up!
