Don’t be jealous…

November 19th, 2009 by Brittany Geragotelis – Comments (2)

So, guess where I was last night? Sitting in a dark theater with Edward and Jacob. Yep. I got to see New Moon early! And trust me, die-hard Twilight fans won’t be disappointed.

As an editor for a magazine, we get invites to sneak previews of movies. Being that I was lucky enough to interview both Ashley Green (Alice) and Dakota Fanning (Jane), I was psyched to see how the second installment of the vampy series was going to turn out.

I guess it's laundry day?

I guess it's laundry day?

So, here’s my review of what’s probably one of the most buzzed about movie of 2009. The whole cast is back and looking better than ever. And girls, you are going to be in hottie heaven watching this flick. Because practically all the guys (wolves and vampires alike) are walking around shirtless for about 90% of the movie! Seriously.

Jacob...where did your shirt go?

Where did your shirt go, Jacob?

And the most impressive of all of them is Taylor Lautner (Jacob), who has massively buffed-up for his transformation into wolf-hood. Bella says it best when she tells Jacob that he’s beautiful…because that’s exactly what he is in this movie. Personally, I think Jacob’s MUCH cuter than Edward, but that’s just me (Seriously, check him out!). So, I guess that means I’m fully Team Taylor now (Taylor Swift is a lucky girl!).

Talk about a choke hold...

Talk about a choke hold...

Ashley Greene was adorable! And why wouldn’t she be? She was a cheerleader after all! There’s even a part of the film where she jumps over a banister and gracefully “floats” to the ground. No doubt her stunting experience helped her stick the landing!

Dakota's to DIE for!

Dakota's to DIE for!

But my favorite cameo was by Dakota Fanning. She may have only been in the film for about five minutes, but in that short amount of time, she blew me away. She definitely stole the show as childishly devilish Jane. The way she took perverse pleasure in causing certain character’s pain….it was a genius performance. Very unlike her real-life cheerleader personality.

There's nothing scary about Taylor....

All in all, the movie was cheesier than a piece of pizza, but it was very entertaining. Twlight fans will love it for sure—and I have a feeling there are going to be more than a few Jacob converts!
