BIO The Musical: Am I really trying out?!

March 5th, 2010 by Jessica Pribush – Comments (1)

As most of you have probably already heard, the casting call for Bring It On The Musical is next week. What most of you have not heard is that Steph and I will be on the audition list! Yes, your AC Interns will be trying out for the cast of BIO The Musical very soon.

Being an audition newbie, I literally have no idea what to expect. Now I know that we will need to be warmed up, and ready to dance. I also know that we’ll need to have a 16 bar song selection (I’m thinking of doing “Miss Independent” sung by Kelly Clarkson), in case they ask us to stay and sing. It might be surprising that the dancing is the part I’m most nervous about.

Since I haven’t cheered in almost two years—which feels like a lifetime—I’m skeptical about how good my moves really are. I mean of course I still dance, at clubs and such, but hip-hop has never really been my forte.

This whole thing seems surreal. The fact that people love cheer so much, that they’re taking a cheerleading movie and making it come alive on stage is so exciting! The fact that I have the chance to possibly take part in this groundbreaking project is incredible.

I’ll be updating on and off about my preparations for the casting call, and I’ll also write a follow up blog after we attend. Keep checking back for more updates on our progress! I’m super excited and want to start preparing myself ASAP.

Any ideas for what I should sing as my audition piece, or ways to prepare for the dance segment? Leave them in the comment box below!

Cheers, Jessica<3

Brrr! It's cold out there! It's also very dry in the air, and dryness can suck up moisture, leaving your skin flaky, itchy and tight. Don't worry, though--- Atopalm's Moisturizing Body Lotion is the perfect remedy for a cold, dry winter blast!
