National School Spirit Day is 9/10/10. How will you participate?
Starting today, if every cheerleader performs four hours of community service during the week of September 6-10, cheerleaders can contribute millions of hours total across the country. How you get involved is up to YOU–but if you register on the National School Spirit Day website and describe how you made a difference, you could win:
- - $1000 in school supplies to be donated to your school from Carolina Pad
- - Practice cheer mat (single roll) from Ross Athletic Supply
- - 250 Rooter poms, 150 sets of Thunderstix, and a Power Break-Through Banner from Varsity Spirit Fashions
If you need ideas, visit the the National School Spirit Day website, but here are a few to get you started:
- - Visit a local nursing home
- - Bring some cheer to the children’s hospital by dressing in uniform and visiting patients
- - Collect and send care packages to soldiers overseas
- - Cheer on the walkers/runners at an area charity race
- - Collect canned goods at your next football game to donate to a food bank
- - Read to pre-schoolers after school
- - Volunteer to help clean up a park or playground
Tell us what YOU have planned for 9/10/10! Comment below!

Excellent article and easy to understand explanation. How do I go about getting permission to post part of the article in my upcoming news letter? Giving proper credit to you the author and link to the site would not be a problem.

Please let me know if you’re looking for a author for your weblog. You have some really good articles and I think I would be a good asset. If you ever want to take some of the load off, I’d absolutely love to write some content for your blog in exchange for a link back to mine. Please blast me an email if interested. Cheers!
