Mustang HS demos a high-flying stunt sequence
by Craig Callaway; photos by Curtis Callaway
This stunt sequence is legal for schools and USASF Level 3 with a straight cradle, Level 4 with a single twist cradle and Level 5 with a double twisting cradle.

1. START
The group starts facing forward with the top girl’s right foot in a loading position.

2. SPONGE
The top girl jumps into a sponge position.

3. SHOW & GO
Immediately, the group throws the top girl straight up into a Show & Go.

4. PIKE
Then the group catches the top girl in a pike position at chest level.
NOTE: Bases remain in contact with the top girl at all times by never letting go of her toe.

5. TORCH
The group takes an extra bounce and then throws the top girl back up, making a quarter turn to their right, into a Torch.

6. SCORPION
The group then dips and presses straight up to a Scorpion.

7. POST
The group gives a slight dip, and the topgirl releases her foot and hits a post position. The group then quarter turns to the front at this time.

8. STRETCH & BOW-N-ARROW
The top girl pulls a heel stretch, then continues into a Bow-N-Arrow.

9. RELEASE
The top girl then releases her foot, keeping it up in a stretch.

10. TWIST CRADLE
The group dips and pops the top girl into a twisting dismount.

It is too simple in that you just change the flyer’s position many times in a single foot extention.

This is my all time favorite stunt to fly for! I am 4 foot 9 so I am always a flyer. When I get to do this stunt I am very happy! A tip to make the stunt more easy and fun is to practice your flexibility!
Cheer On!
