Check out Ashley Benson before she was a “Pretty Little Liar,” back in 2007 when she shot her first national magazine cover with American Cheerleader magazine! The stunning star was all smiles on set as she posed for the camera and talked about her upcoming film at the time Bring It On: In It To Win It.

AC: How’d you get involved in this film?

Ashley: I’ve always been a fan of the BIO movies and when my manager told me that the director, Steve Rash, wanted to meet with me, I was thrilled. When I found out that I got the job I was like, “Oh my gosh!”

AC: What surprised you most about cheerleading?

Ashley: Just how hard it is. I watched a competition and the teams made everything look like it was nothing. At first I was like, “OK, I can do all my stunts—it won’t be hard.” But then, after every practice, my arms would hurt, and I got bruises from all the stunts. It was a lot harder than it seemed.

AC: What was it like on set?

Ashley: Everything about the movie was so much fun! On the set we would always make jokes, sing, dance and act like complete nerds. There was so much energy.
