To the haters...our squad traveled 5 hours to an out-of-state regional competiton after cheering on our Varsity football players in a play-off game. They knew it would be tough, their main rivals' coach used to be the cheer coach at the very well know university in the same city and had also coached over half of the judges on the panel. Our team didn't let any nerves show when the rival squad & family filled up the parents section reserved at the front of the stage and "barked" during our cheer portion of the routine. The squad performed flawlessly and smiled all thru awards ceremony, even as the rival squad "won" by 1 point, this was after dropping the entire ending pyramid. We know who really won, it doesn't always mean a 1st Place trophy, but they stayed calm and didn't sweat the small stuff.
