After spending a week in the flawless weather of Los Angeles, I knew coming home to New York would be a drag. It’s chilly. It’s cloudy. It’s jacket weather. But there are definitely a few pluses!

Hot drinks: Hot chocolate, hot tea, hot coffee, hot apple cider (if that stirs your fancy), and pretty much anything on Starbucks’ menu, including their seasonal pumpkin flavored specialties.

Heated blankets: Definitely one of man’s greatest inventions. Perfect for naps, movies, and cuddling.

Scarves: Time to make and wear scarves again. Who wants one this year?

Sheepskin: Slippers, boots, hats, etc. Anything sheepskin that keeps you warm and cozy (and adorable) it’s time to start wearing! That’s right, break out the Uggs!

Autumn brings many warm surprises and traditions. It’s time to start making plans for the holidays, deciding what to wear for Halloween, and getting out the camera to capture some photos of the beautiful foliage. I’m gonna soak in the fall and ask Mom to make some pumpkin bread! Mmm.
