All Access with Hailey: Last Days of Summer
Hello AC readers!
I hope that everyone’s final days of summer are filled with wonderful, sunny memories! School has already started for many of the girls in Georgia over the past few days. It’s sad that summer is over but for me, it means that senior year is here!
Since my last blog, I traveled to Haiti for my third mission trip there. It was the trip of a lifetime! I had such an amazing time playing with the girls and one boy at the House of Hope orphanage. Something new thing that I was able to experience was working in the medical clinic for a couple of days. My dad and I, along with the team of doctors, were able to interview, examine and hand medicine out to so many Haitians that needed it. I was blessed to see so many smiling faces walk out of the clinic, especially the mothers and children! We gave each of the girls Build-A-Bears made by my school cheerleading team as well as donated Crocs. It was amazing to just play and bond with each of them. I’ll never forget that trip and I already cannot wait to return!
These next couple of months are going to be very busy for many of the girls on Stingrays Orange. School cheer is in full swing and most of the girls on Orange are also a part of their high school cheerleading teams. Many high school teams practice daily after school, my team being one of them. Within the month, football games will be starting up and not long after that, we will also start Georgia high school cheerleading competitions! As reigning two-time State Champions, my high school team has high expectations to uphold and we’re already working very hard to accomplish our goals. Although it can be stressful trying to balance school cheerleading alongside all star cheerleading, classes and homework, it is always worth the memories made.
Orange choreography is almost finished and it is bittersweet for me. I am very sad that it’s going to be my last year. But on the other hand, our routine has made me very excited for the competition season that is coming up. The routine is so exciting; I cannot wait to showcase it this fall! It is going to be an amazing year and I am so happy to finish out my all star career with such an amazing team.
Good luck to everyone that has started or will be starting school soon. Until next time!
