Salt Lake City, UT based artist Steven Heward and his team specialize in tattoos…for your teeth. What?!
I remembered reading about this a few months ago and was reminded of it when I saw a blurb written in Radar magazine recently. Heward offers custom artwork that’s hand-painted directly onto your teeth, usually the back molars. The technicians are trained first as artists, and then as dental experts. The tattoos can only be seen if the owner pulls back the cheek to show them off or if the tattoo is applied to a front tooth (usually only done to showcase the artists abilities to potential clients). This has definitely made my weekly list of weird stuff! Prices range anywhere from $75-$500, and these unique works of art can also be applied to crowns. The tattoos can be removed with a simple visit to any dentist. Check out the picture to the right for some examples (Princess Diana, Queen Elizabeth II, Simon Cowell, David Beckham, Amy Winehouse, Abraham Lincoln, Elvis, David Letterman, Tiger Woods, George Washington). It's a little weird but, such is art!
Here are a few other random tidbits I came across during my daily magazine/blog/google hunt:

For my next post, I have an amazingly embarrassing (and funny!) camp story to share with everyone. We’re in camp season and most squads are spending summer practices getting ready to pack up and head to camp. If you’re a camp veteran, Email me with some of your funniest and most embarrassing stories! We’ll see who has the best (or worst) story. You know where to reach me: aneason@americancheerleader.com
Peace, love and teeth tattoos,
