This week has been an exciting one—Becca and I attended our first official photo shoot! The shoot was held at Stepping Out Studios here in NYC. My day began super early; I met up with college cheerleader Heather R. from the University of Delaware, and headed over to the studio. Once there, we met up with the rest of the AC staff, Annie, a college cheerleader from Syracuse University, and Taylor, an all-star cheerleader from Maryland Twisters. That’s when the madness (and fun) began!

Our day was filled with hair stylists, make-up artists, photographers, equipment, poms, megaphones, bows, outfit changes, and LOTS of pictures! Becca and I did a lot of running around, helping out whomever and wherever we could. During the afternoon, we even got dolled up and had photos taken of ourselves! My favorite part of the day (aside from just being there in the first place) was when Becca and I took our journey to Cosi’s to get lunch for everyone. It was hilarious! We took multiple trips in and out, and everyone behind us in line thought we were crazy for ordering so much food. It was equally hysterical to see us carrying it all back (see picture to right). I think we made a total of five trips between the restaurant and the studio. No internship is complete without the occasional lunch run!

Overall, it was a great experience, and one that I definitely won’t soon forget. I can’t tell you who will be our next cover girl but, look out for the October 2008 issue to see the results of our shoot!
