Teen Choice Awards 08!posted by Alex Neason on Monday, Aug 04
For the past ten years, the Teen Choice Awards has honored the stars of pop culture with the coveted surfboard, all determined by your votes. This year, the Teen Choice Awards, in conjunction with Do Something, Inc will take things one step further by honoring a non-celebrity teen who has shown outstanding efforts in civic duty. The “Do Something” category has just been added to the long list of awards to be given out out tonight, August 4, 2008. Nominees completed an online application and were given a personal interview. The applicant pool has been narrowed down to nine people. These teens are dedicated to important issues including smoke-free environments, cancer research and stopping the genocide in Darfur. Not only will the winner receive a TC08 surfboard, but they’ll also be given $100,000 to invest in their cause or organization. Fans ages 13-19 can read more about each nominee and their organization online at TeenChoiceAwards.com. Be sure to tune in at 8 pm EST onn Fox (check your local listings) to see who the lucky winner will be. The show will be hosted by former cheerleader Miley Cyrus and filled with hot celebrity appearances and performances. Don’t miss out!
