Hannah Montana brings her spirit to the big screen

posted by Brittany Geragotelis on Friday, Dec 14

Over the past two years, Miley Cyrus went from being just Billy Ray Cyrus' daughter to being recognized as Hannah Montana, big time pop star. The show, (in case you've been living under a rock...or been too busy with cheer practices, games and competitions to tune in...) is about Miley Stewart who's a typical teenager by day and a high-profile singing sensation by night. Hannah Montana was The Disney Channel's most popular show debut to date, when it first aired back in 2006 and since then, Miley's fan base has sky-rocketed among teenage girls and boys alike.

I know as an "adult" I should probably be watching shows like Dateline and 60 Minutes, but I'm proud to admit that I am a huge Hannah Montana fan! (in fact, my TIVO is set to tape the show anytime it airs!). Personally, I get sucked into most shows that involve singing and dancing, and I think Miley Cyrus is adorable. I think it's great that you all have such a good role model to look up to, especially when such a slew of young hollywood starlets nowadays have less-than-stellar repuatations.

But the best thing about Miley Cyrus? Duh—she was a cheerleader! Miley cheered for seven years and racked up over 10 national titles with Premier Cheerleading in Nashville, TN. With an impressive background like that, it's no surprise that she's now wowing crowds of millions at Hannah Montana concerts nationwide. In fact, if your eyes and ears have been tuned into the Hannah-verse lately, you probably already know that tickets to her Best of Both Worlds Tour (she's performing at over 50 concerts!), were sold out in record-breaking time all over the U.S. Word has it that tickets were gone in just 4 minutes for her Atlanta, GA show.

If you're bummed out because tickets sold faster than you could buy them, there's good news! Hannah fans will soon be able to check out her concert on the big screen (in surround sound), which means—you still have a chance to experience the larger than life star! The show will be screening at theaters nationwide for a week in February (stay tuned for exact dates).

This may be the best news since we heard that High School Musical 3 was going to be released in theaters, so don't miss out. This concert is One In A Million!
