This skill is legal for schools & USASF levels 2 and up.
This skill is legal for high schools.
Top girl– Starts with her right foot in the base’s hands and her hands on the base’s shoulders.
Spot– Starts with her right hand on the top girl’s right ankle, and her left hand on her left ankle.
Right base– Starts out with the top girl’s right foot in her hands, holding the ball of the foot and the heel.
Left base– Starts with her right hand under the middle of the top girl’s right foot, and her left hand on the right shin below the knee.
On the designated count of 1, 2 down up:
Top girl– Bends on the word “down” and jumps straight to the top on “up”. She should keep her weight on the right foot until she feels the base grab her left foot, in which she should then even her weight out to an extension.
Spot– Dips with the top girl and then guides her up to an extension by both ankles. (NOTE: If the spot doesn’t have the left ankle, then this stunt will be illegal for level 2 teams.)
Right base– Dips with the top girl on the word “down” then drives straight up to the top of the stunt on “up”.
Left base– Dips with the top girl on the word “down” then drives her straight up to the top of the stunt on “up”. At the top of the toss, her right foot will step forward and she’ll pivot to the front. Her left hand will release after throwing from the shin and grab the left foot at the top of the toss.
On the designated count of 1, 2 down up, the bases and spot should dip and pop the top girl straight up. The top girl will slap her pocket on the way up and keep her body straight. (NOTE: Make sure your top girl doesn’t bend her knees, lean forward, lean backwards, or let her legs go wider than shoulder width apart.)
Top girl– Grab the bases tight on the cradle and fold in half. (Note: The more open your body is straight, the heavier you feel.)
Spot– Scoop the top girl under the arms with your hands in fists. (Note: If you stick your thumb out, you can get it snapped back towards your wrist.) Make sure you pull your fists up and towards your shoulders. If not, you could punch your bases or your top girl.
Bases– At the top of the dismount, the right base will pivot the right foot back to her starting position with arms up and catch the top girl. Both bases should catch high on their upper arms (Note: If you catch her on your forearms or wrists, you’ll be pulled into each other and could knock heads.) Make sure you have your feet shoulder width apart and are well balanced.
