Step 1: Set

FLYER: Set with your feet together and your hands on the base's wrists. Make sure you have a firm grip and that your elbows are pulled in.

BASE: Set with your legs shoulder-width apart and your body slightly crouched down toward the flyer. Get in a good stable stance and grip your partner's hips firmly.

SPOT: Stand ready beside the stunt, with eyes on the stunt at all times.

Step 2: Toss Liberty

FLYER: On the designated count, dip and push through your legs to jump straight up into the air. Once you have hit your toss Liberty and maintain your balance, grab your left foot with your right hand and hold it bent slightly in front of your body. Your foot should be about mid- to upper-thigh high and should be directly in front of your right thigh. Keep your back straight and your left hand resting on your hip for balance.

BASE: On the designated count, dip and toss the flyer straight up into the air and catch her foot in a Liberty grip.

SPOT: Help to stabilize the stunt once it's in the Liberty position by either gripping onto the wrists of the base or the flyer's foot.

Step 3: Power Press

FLYER: As the base prepares to bring you down to chest level and give you a toss up into the air, remain tight and in position. Keep your chest up and standing leg locked out.

BASE: Once the flyer is stable and in position, bring the Liberty down to chest level and prepare to toss her back up into the air. Make sure to bend your legs to give more power to the toss.

SPOT: Help to keep the stunt steady as the base brings the stunt down to chest level. Then, give the stunt a boost when the base pops the flyer back up into the air.

Step 4: Hop Over

FLYER: After you've been given a big pop into the air, hop through your left leg with your right leg. Try to keep your chest up throughout the transition and don't let go of your left foot at any time!

BASE: Drive the flyer straight up into the air and release her foot at the top so that she can hop over own leg. Keep your eyes on her standing foot at all times, so you will be able to catch it on the other side of the hop.

SPOT: Keep your arms in the air and your eyes on the flyer's right foot.

Step 5: Re-Catch

FLYER: Stay tight as the base regrips your right foot. Keep your chest up as you continue to grip your left foot, which should now be bent at the knee and behind your body. Your left arm should be on your hip. Remain tight as the base pushes you back into a Liberty.

BASE: As the flyer descends from the toss, reach up high to grip her right foot again. As you make contact with her foot, you should absorb at the chest level with a slight bend at the knees. After bending, push the flyer back up into a Liberty, while making a quarter turn to the right.

SPOT: Assist the base in catching the flyer's foot and help to push her back up into the Liberty. Make a quarter turn to the right along with the base.

Step 6: Scorpion

FLYER: As you hit the top of the Liberty, pull your leg up behind you to hit a Scorpion.

BASE: Hold the stunt steady as the flyer hits a Scorpion at the top of the Liberty.

SPOT: Help to stabilize the stunt. Eyes should be on the flyer at all times.

NOTE: This stunt can also be performed with an all-girl stunt group.
