Ten-year-old Calista Colwell has two passions in life: cheerleading and volunteering.
Her passion for cheerleading began when she was just two years old and became the mascot of her community league. From there she started tumbling classes and became a youth and junior all star cheerleader for Cheer Athletics. She is currently is a Level 4 youth athlete with the Wonderkatz.
Outside of her involvement as a cheerleader, Calista is a Girl Scout and has been a member of the Junior AMVETS for years, where she’s had a hand in numerous community service projects. Last year, when Calista discovered the Team Up for St. Jude Spirited by Varsity program, she decided to go all in. Never one to sell herself short, she set her goal at $5,000. Through two large garage sale fundraisers, social media posts and numerous personal donations, she successfully hit her goal and more, raising $12,679 for the kids of St. Jude!
Way to go Calista!
