Jumps are a big part of what we do as cheerleaders to help create excitement on the sidelines. Increasing our flexibility, strength and power, while also perfecting our jump technique, will help us improve our various jumps and keep the crowd entertained. Daydreaming of all the new skills you want to accomplish? A strong body is key, and we have the exercises to help get you there. Incorporate the following workout three times a week to help your body become stronger, leaner and ready to take on new challenges. 1. Decline Pushups Find something sturdy to place your feet on. Place your hands on the ground in a normal pushup position. With school almost out and summer on its way, teams are gearing up for camp where many cheerleaders will be trying out for a spot as an All-American. Do you have what it takes? Read on for some All-American advice! CLEAN, SHARP MOTIONS are imperative. Many cheerleaders get in the habit of skimming over motions when they learn a new cheer or sideline. Don’t let that be you! Focus on hitting your motions as sharp as possible while executing proper placement and technique.
