On to the lipstick! First, choose a color. If you’re going for the classic look, opt for a tomato red. This shade is considered to be the most universally flattering across all complexions. Fair to light skin tones should go for bright reds with blue undertones. Medium skin tones can pull off heartier, richer reds. And dark skin tones look great in deep reds with berry undertones.
Choose a lip liner that’s close to your natural lip color. Gently trace the edge of your lips to enhance their shape and prevent color bleeding. To make your color last longer, use the liner as a base and fill in your lips entirely.
Apply lipstick directly from the tube or with a lip brush. Start in the center and blend out neatly for even coverage.
